What is your capacity? For a sit down meal at banquet tables - 280 guests. Sit down at round tables - 140 guests.
Do we have to have the meal come from Northwinds? Yes, all food and beverages must be purchased through Northwinds.
What deposit do you require to hold the date and when will the rest of the money be due? A $800.00 deposit is required for all weddings held at Northwinds. To secure your event date the contract must be signed and deposit paid in full. This is a security deposit, applied to your final bill, when paid in full. This is a non-returnable deposit if date is canceled unless the hall is able to rebook for an event of equal size or greater.
***Cancellation or change of date of a wedding reception date must be received in writing.
What is the "Set-Up Fee" for? Set-up fee includes: Pre-event meeting, use of the hall for two hours to decorate, white linen covered tables, white linen napkins, china, silverware, bar glassware, cake cutting/serving on styrofoam plates, cordless microphone, skirted head & cake table and outdoor grounds for pictures and guests.
Is there a "Hall Fee"? No hall fee required for the use of Northwinds banquet hall when contracting an event that includes a meal, bar attendance and reaches Northwinds minimum attendance requirements. If a meal is not ordered or a cash bar is not allowed for your guests the entire event time or falls below Northwinds minimum attendance requirements, a fee may be required.
Is there a "Bar Minimum"? No. We offer a Cash and/or Open Bar. Cash Bar is for guest to purchase their own drinks. Open Bar is charged to the Host on a per drink charge. If restrictions are placed on availability of the service bar during events a fee may be required.
When does the final bill have to be paid? Payment is due in full at the conclusion of the event. Should you choose to pre pay you can discuss this with the Banquet Manager.
Credit Cards (Mastercard, Visa, American Express & Discover), Cash and Checks are accepted. Payment by credit card will be subject to a 1% service charge.
Is Tax and Gratuity included in price? No, all Food and Beverages are subject to a 5.5% sales tax and 15% service charge. The house fee does not represent a tip or service charge for the wait staff, employees, service employees or service bartenders. It may, however be used, in whole or in part, to remunerate employees involved in the preparation of food & beverage events.
Can we see a copy of your standard contract? Yes, a contract is enclosed with your packet and you will receive a copy of the signed contract.
When does the final count of attendance given? Seven Days prior to the event date. This will be considered your guaranteed number of guests in attendance. Billing will be in accordance with this number. This number is not subject to reduction. If the attendance number is greater, the host will be billed for the additional amount of guests. If no guarantee is received, your estimated contracted number of guests will be considered your guarantee.
How long do we have the use of the Banquet Hall? The banquet hall is contracted out (1) hour prior to dinner until contracted time of entertainment ending, the lasted being midnight - at no charge when you meet all Northwinds requirements.
What are our menu offerings? Full disclosure of our menus and prices are enclosed in wedding information packet as well as on our website at: www.northwindseden.com. Please consult our banquet manager to discuss other menu options. Our chef's are available for help in customizing your specific menu needs. We do offer gluten free and vegetarian options.
Are we allowed to take home left-over food? No. You are billed per person and not the total amount of food prepared. If you fall below anticipated guest attendance amounts, remaining food is property of Northwinds Supper Club & Banquet Hall by law and does not leave the facility.
Do you charge for beverage service? The service bar will facilitate a wedding from one (1) hour prior to the meal time listed on invitation to the conclusion of the contracted time of entertainment ending, the latest being midnight-at no charge. If restrictions are placed on the bar at the request of the contracting party, they are then subject to a service charge. Early use or additional time of use for service bar may be contracted out; special arrangements can be made by contacting Northwinds. These requests may incur a service charge.
Can we order complimentary soda and beer? Yes. You may choose up to three pre-order import and/or domestic tap beer. The amount of barrels of beer you order is determined on how big of a group you are having and when you "start" the complimentary beer. Each time a barrel is emptied you or whom ever is paying, will be approached to see if you want to tap another barrel.
Will you provide special meals for any children who attend and is there a discounted charge for them? If children are attending we have a special banquet menu price rate and a special plated menu designed for your young guests. A children's menu is enclosed in your information packet.
Can we see pictures of previous events? Yes. We have a photo album of previous events for your viewing.
When and what can we decorate the banquet hall? Decorating the hall before your event is permitted if Northwinds is not hosting another function. This can be set up as early as the Wednesday prior to your wedding day and can be scheduled with the Banquet Manager during your pre-event meeting.
***Tape, Staples, Tacks and Hot Glue, Confetti, Glitter, Rice or Streamers shall not be used. No decorations may be attached to the walls, ceiling tiles, chandeliers or beams without prior approval from Northwinds Supper Club & Banquet Hall management. All balloons will be anchored. Decorations that result in excessive clean up by staff members at Northwinds will be subject to an additional fee.
How many center pieces do we need? To determine approximate amount of center piece table decoratins needed, take the total amount of your guest and divide it by eight. One center piece per eight people.
Do you allow candles in votives? Yes. The only stipulation is that candles are lit before dinner and will be blown out and removed following dinner.
Do you have "Rental" items? Yes. Northwinds has Decorative Wedding Rental Items Available (Arches, Card Boxes, Center Pieces and more...)
Is Smoking allowed? Smoking is not allowed in Northwinds Supper Club & Banquet Hall. Smoking is allowed outside on our patio's.
Is the building handicap accessible? Yes. The entire building is handicap accessible with modern bathroom facilities.
